Public Involvement for the Connections 2040 MTP
MRMPO conducted public outreach as part of the development of the Connections 2040 MTP. Public meetings were held to kick off the plan development (fall 2018), for the initial draft of the MTP (winter 2020), and a virtual open house was held on Facebook Live for the Final Draft MTP (spring 2020). In addition, MRMPO attended community events and meetings to present on the MTP and gather public feedback.
An MTP questionnaire was disseminated in 2018 and was made available in English and Spanish, online and in hard copy format. In 2019 an online interactive gaps map was promoted to gather feedback from the public about problem areas in the transportation networks (transit, roadways, bike and pedestrian networks).
MRMPO staff are available upon request to provide more information on the plan and/or present on the Connections 2040 MTP. To inquire about scheduling a presentation, contact Tara Cok at email@example.com or 505-247-1750. Comments or questions on the plan can always be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Kick off Meetings
The MTP update, Connections 2040, officially kicked off in October. There were three public meetings held around the region where the public was invited to learn about the MTP and share their thoughts and concerns on transportation in the region.
